Eastern State Penitentiary

This past weekend I went to jail. To visit the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, to be more exact anyway. If you ever find yourself in the area, I recommend a visit. Won’t take but a 1-2 hour visit, but it’s worth it. And in the summer they run an outdoor flea market along the perimeter. Shopping and a jail tour might be a weird mix, but it was very fun.

And with January comes the cold and today brought on the snow as well. Not much, but enough to blanket the ground and make a mess. Don’t get me wrong, I love the 4 seasons so I appreciate what each has to offer. But on a cold day like today, I was day-dreaming of summer. And figs. Juicy, ripe figs.
